Despite being almost two years behind schedule, Tesla reports that the first production Cybertruck electric pickup has already left the factory.

On Saturday, the firm posted a picture of a large group of employees encircling a vehicle while wearing helmets and yellow vests.

the phrase “First Cybertruck built at Giga Texas!” Tesla tweeted something that included an emoji of a cowboy hat. Elon Musk, the owner, tweeted the article.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-82100″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-750×422.png” alt=”” width=”1560″ height=”878″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-750×422.png 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-1024×576.png 1024w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-768×432.png 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-1536×864.png 1536w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-390×220.png 390w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon-150×84.png 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-first-unit-of-the-tesla-cybertruck-is-released-from-the-texas-factory-cybertruck-1669442622232-1687666245373-11zon.png 1600w” sizes=”(max-width: 1560px) 100vw, 1560px” />

Although Tesla has previously warned that manufacturing would start slowly and in fewer quantities than Tesla’s other cars, Musk introduced the truck in late 2019 and had previously said that it would begin in late 2021.

The Cybertruck looks nothing like a conventional pickup with its wedge-shaped body and stainless-steel exoskeleton, according to Tesla. It has been derided by some observers as a niche product with little market appeal.

In April, Musk said that the business planned to deliver the first truck most likely in the quarter from July to September. According to him, manufacturing would begin slowly before picking up pace, similar to previous new items.

The production line needs some time to get rolling, he said, and this is a really revolutionary product. It’s not manufactured the same manner as other autos. Let’s see, then.

A glass that was advertised as being impenetrable was spider-cracked when struck by a large metal ball, which provoked an obscenity from Musk, and the truck’s 2019 debut went off track.

Initially, Tesla said that it will produce three variations of the vehicle, with prices ranging from roughly $40,000 to $70,000. Prices were then taken off the page where shoppers may choose whether to spend $100 on an order.

Competitors like the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian Automotive’s R1T have raced into the electric truck industry. Both seem to be typical pickups.

On July 19, Tesla is expected to release financial results for the second quarter.
