Harmanpreet Kaur, the skipper of MI, has praised Sajana and her team’s depth at bat for the successful run-chase. They wanted to win on the first three balls, she claimed, with 12 required off the last over.

Wicket seemed to be hitting well when he batted, and we believed we could win if we played the whole game. (about Sajana) Tonight, she proved to us that she was still hitting sixes from the practice session. We had set a goal to win the match in the first three balls, but thanks to Sajana, I am able to bat with depth. Whether you bat first or second doesn’t matter; circumstances do, and we adjust,” Harmanpreet said at the press conference after the game.

Harmanpreet attributes his form to his batting coach.

Yastika Bhatia and the MI captain were instrumental in the run-chase. MI was still in the hunt as Harmanpreet got 55 off 34 balls and Yastika hit 57 from 45 balls. After a difficult tour of Australia, Harmanpreet was pleased with the outcome and gave gratitude to her coach for helping her get back on track.

“I’m glad our journey came to an end. Extremely pleased with our performance. I would want to thank Himanshu bhaiya, my batting coach. I was lacking confidence after that trip of Australia, so he forced me to practice a lot and provided me motivation. I wasn’t feeling well and I wasn’t playing domestic cricket. That break helped me mentally,” she said.
